INFORMATION, RULES & REGULATIONS

GENERAL INFORMATION

A select group of high schools from the Midwest Media Educators Association will be invited to participate.

Each school will be charged an entry fee in order to participate. These fees will help fund the event and encourage the students to take it seriously.

If a school has a large number of students and potential for numerous entries, they will be required to conduct their own mini-festival or some other pre-judging process, in which the best silent movies from that school will be pre-selected for submission to the Student Silent Film Festival. Through this process, we would like to cull the entries down to the best entry per school. The selection of the mini-festival winners might be accomplished via social media or internal judging within each school. We believe this will generate tremendous interest in the Main Event.

Each group is required to have 2 adult chaperones including a teacher.
